Installation with sound, Funktion One soundsystem, insulating material and plastic foilThis soundinstallation was developed for an exhibition at the Museum Kunstpalast, Düsseldorf.The sound I produced for this installation refers to the text from the sticky fingers work. It‘s played from a Function One soundsystem. I sang and spoke key words from the text that stands for themes such as digitality, gender, human - machine existence. Beside that sounds as smacking and typewriting were recorded. These parts got connected with fragments from popsongs from well known female pop artists.Out of that a rhythimc soundpiece evolves that connects topics from popculture, perfection in performance and digitality.The exhibition space got improved for a better soundquality. A five meter high wall made out of insulating material and covered in white plastic foil was installed in the room. Through that the exhibition space got changed architectonical whise while shortening the room.The light from the ceiling got coloured pink so a different lighting situation arouse. Through that the ephemeral quality of the sound was picked up and translated into the room-installation.
