Sticky Fingers
2015
Installation with bed linen, drawings, projected and spoken text, performance
Sticky Fingers is an installational work. It consists of bed linen with printed drawings, projected text and a performance where I read the text out loud. The drawings and the text developed out of an engagement with topics such as the social construction of gender, the relation between humans and objects and popcultural phenomena.
The duvet with the printed linen refers to the initmacy between an object and the human that is living with it.
The idea is to revive an animistic moment where the borders between machine and human, object and subject, acting and handling, physicalness and gender become diffuse and can be questioned.
During the performance while I read the text a private and personal moment is added.
